Susan Kovalik & Associates, now doing business as The Center for Effective Learning, has been training teachers since 1984 and invites you to join us on the Journey to Excellence. Use the Highly Effective Teaching Model to improve the quality of teaching and ultimately increase your students' academic performance.

Highly Effective Teaching (HET) is a comprehensive school improvement model designed to increase student performance and teacher satisfaction. The primary purpose of the model is to grow responsible citizens. Over the past 25 years, HET (formerly known as ITI: Integrated Thematic Instruction) has been implemented in thousands of schools across America, Europe, and Asia.

The Highly Effective Teaching model is a brain-compatible instructional model grounded in the biology of effective instructional strategies, and the development of conceptual curriculum.
